![]() Instead, you should be looking to use SPECTRAL corrections, which users can obtain as said using a spectrophotometer and upload. There are too many variables that could affect the matrix correction. However it's really not recommended to use a matrix collection unless you are the one who created it. ![]() The spectrophotometer allows one to measure the spectral distribution of the display. It looks like you selected a matrix correction from the database (so display + colorimeter + spectro in this case). Your current report doesn't really tell us much as it's checking the accuracy of the icc profile against itself sort of.Īlso a word on selecting a correction. If you want to measure how the display performs with your icc profile that you created objectively, say vs srgb, you would click the box for simulation profile and select srgb. Aka, you are verifying that your icc profile is still precise and hasn't drifted. Not sure if it locks the RGB controls in that mode, hopefully not.įor your measurement report, what you are actually measuring here is how the display responds with the icc profile you created vs what the software is expecting with that profile. You can set brightness to preference and perform a standard calibration. You can calibrate with the wide gamut enabled or with gamut clamp on to your preference, but I would suggest enabling the Creator mode which clamps the gamut to srgb as far as I'm aware. As of now Displaycal doesn't have a good way to calibrate in HDR. ![]() Just a few tips from someone who's been using Displa圜al for years at this point. Hope this helps - if you have any questions, feel free to ask them below. You can turn off the lights of the monitor (aswell as the bright status light on the bottom right) in the monitors OSD settings. To do that, go to "Display Settings" -> "Graphics" -> Select the game you want to change Auto HDR for and hit "Options" -> tick "Don't use Auto-HDR".Remember that you can turn off Auto-HDR for specific games.Start Displa圜AL, load my ICC-Profile and apply it for the AW3423DW.Place it in " C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color".Set the dynamic range for videos to full (0-255).Enable G-Sync for window- and fullscreen-applications.Enable V-Sync (and always disable it within games).Difference between 144Hz and 175Hz is not noticable, 175Hz can cause flickering and you probably won't even reach 175FPS anyways with such a big resolution.Either set a black background or (in my case) user Wallpaper Engine with rotating backgrounds every 2 minutes.Set a black screensaver with a timer of 2 minutes.Install "RoundedTB" and "TranslucentTB" to get rid off the white line/shadow above the taskbar.Configure your Windows for OLED to prevent burn-in.Remember to do a clean uninstall first via "DDU" (Display Driver Uninstaller).Install the newest GPU driver for your graphics card.Windows 11's HDR is great and the Auto-HDR-feature is wonderful aswell. The results can be found here: Prerequisites The result will however be very close to it. Please note that you won't get pinpoint accuracy with my profile since even same monitor models can have slight differences. I am however pretty good at doing research, so at best, this post saves a few people out there a lot of time. The goal of my settings was to get the most color-accurate settings possible aswell as a brightness calibration to 120cd/m2 in the evening and to 160cd/m2 for daylight since these are pretty much the industry standards professional colorists use.For calibrating my display, I used a "Calibrate ColorChecker Display Pro" (formerly known as "X-Rite i1 Display Pro") and "Displa圜AL" aswell as a correction file (from a database) where the display was measured with the same device and a spectrometer. In fact, this is my very first ultrawide and OLED-Display. Let me preface this by saying: I'm by no means a professional colorist nor do I have years of experience with ultrawides.
